December Wrap Up

How has your Christmas been? How has your December been come to that?  Mine has been active. The result is a phone full of photos I've meant to blog but there hasn't been the candy cane of a chance.

Early in the season I went to an event hosted by Jacynth of The Bias Cut and what do you know,  I bumped into Emma and Jaquie!  I also met another lovely blogger that I'd not connected with before, Valerie from Visualise and Bloom.

Do you know of Jacynth? I won't repeat myself but direct you to my last meet up with her.  Before dropping into her pop-up shop in December I took an opportunity to see the Oxford and Regent Street lights.

Early in the month I travelled to the Newcastle area with my oldest to look at universities.  At 24 she has decided to become a mature student.  We took an early train and I told her she could put her make up on the train, 'everyone does it', I had said. I didn't expect her to bring a suitcase and pull out an almost complete dressing table on the train.  Haha, she does make me laugh. She made the other passengers laugh too.

There is quite a temperature difference between the south coast where we live and the very north of England so I wrapped up warm.

Very warm.

During the month we also visited friends not so far north and I had an opportunity to shop in Bicester Village.  I was pretty impressed.  There is Tory Birch, Coach, Kate Spade and plenty of European and British designer shops.  I bought some cotton sheets cheaply from The White Company and some cushions from Laura Ashley.  Both of which we needed and both vastly reduced.  Jobs a good 'un, as my hubs says.

The weather here hasn't been festive over Christmas but  when we went to see Glow Wild it was freezing.  I wrapped up looking like a Brownie.  Not the most glamourous of looks but I never said I was about glamour , haha.

Here's my video on Glow Wild.  It was magical and I wanted to share it with you.

On Christmas Eve I dug out an old leopard print and glitter, yes glitter, wrap top for a drink at our local and then we went home to be guests in our own house.  Miss 24 was entertaining us to food and drinks,

and games...

Christmas day was quiet, just the four of us.  Still I like the colour scheme of red and eggnog below.  I must do that next year too, haha. I do hereby declare eggnog an item of decor.

I hope you had a grand Christmas if you celebrate.

    1. Trouble is it means dangerous roads. I'd love snow if it was on a Saturday and cleared up in 24 hours.
